qtags case study presented at HIMA

Mob_mark_3

Recently qtags presented at the Houston Interactive Marketing Associations forum on Mobility Marketing.  The co-presenter was Chris Jones from novewave.  HIMA is headed by Steve Latham the founder & CEO of Spur Digital online marketing solutions.

Chris gave a spectacular overview of the trends / opportunities in mobile marketing internationally and in the States.  If you'd like to learn more about novewave's capabilties (and they are great) - contact me or leave a comment and I'll put you in touch w/ Chris.

Our charge was to present a specific case-study of how an advertiser has successfully used a type of mobility program.  I and ENVY publication's managing editor Jody Schmal presented how Envy has used a permission based group build to better connect with their audience. Here is the exec sum (and if you'd like to see the full presentation - it's here:  Download PresentationCD.zip

Envy created a call-to-action and deliverable as follows -- if you text 'envy' to 78247 you will receive updates / news / be the first to know about parties and stuff happening around town.  Envy is the premier events magazine in Houston and Dallas (for the under 35's) and these folks truly do WANT to know this information.   LISTEN to RADIO Spot - Download envy_qtags_radio.mp3

Envy put this call to action on all mar-com materials, in the mag, on myspace, online, at POS at events, on the Envy girls backs...

And Envy sends only Relevant - Interesting - Helpful  information, so the group stays opted-in and trusts that Envy will not spam them.

Envy uses sms text to put their arms more tightly around their audience - has built trust - and now has thousands of readers waiting to hear from them.  This is a great example of a successful sms text program.
